Living and learning on this land is an act of stewardship, a respectful stance that the earth is a living being and we are in a reciprocal and mutual relationship. We know that the natural world has intelligence that we can learn from and support to amplify. Meaningful conversations are, therefore, at the heart of everything we do – being in conversation with each other to learn, teach with humility and to move to deeper understanding. This also includes being in conversation with the land and with nature – giving the world around us a space at the table.
A living systems and regenerative approach is fundamental to the way we host ourselves and all that takes place at Axladitsa. This means – not looking at events or issues in isolation, but part of a whole, an interconnected weave of relationships that together forms something greater. We believe in the extraordinary potential of humans and our planet to regenerate and believe that we need to be part of a wider conversation, inviting diversity – in terms of people, ideas, subjects to explore new solutions to harness this potential. Moving from conversation to ideas to actions, we invite the conditions for inner and outer transformation to emerge for all that come here.
