Maria

Maria is the live-in steward of Axladitsa, with Cappuccino the Greek sheep dog, and six cats.  She is the co-founder of the Living Wholeness Institute and co-initiator of the Art of Hosting and Harvesting Meaningful Conversations.  Maria’s parents were Greeks from Egypt and she grew up in many countries, so she is a citizen of the world, yet her roots are now deeply planted in the soil of Axladitsa and the Promyri area of south Pelion.

The olive trees, oregano, wild greens, fruit trees, wood land and the vegetable garden are all sacred beings for her.  At each harvest, she is amazed by what the land offers and holds deep love for this part of the earth.

Working in diverse contexts as a process architecture and educator, Maria hosts organisations and networks to discover new potential through their collective intelligence using participation. She works with social movements, foundations, academia, municipalities and the European Institutions.

Currently, Maria is deepening her own practice of regenerative cultivation at Axladitsa.  This includes tending the soil and olive trees, creating a community supported agriculture scheme locally, as well as cultivating new regenerative cultures of living and working on the land, locally and further afield.

Maria loves to welcomes people to Axladitsa, so please come whether you wish to rest, work or learn!
